2011 Australian Carwash Association Conference & Expo
Recently Paul Clarke, Craig Freeman, Carl Gardyne (Franchisee’s) and myself Damian
Curtain (franchisor) attended the 2011 Australian Car Wash Association Conference
and Expo on the Gold Coast, overall the visit was well worthwhile bringing back
new efficiencies and products for our car washes.
While at the conference we meet Ian Healy (ex Aussie cricket legend) and Chris Johns
(ex Aussie rugby league legend) who are the owners of
Hoppys Hand Car Wash in Brisbane with three very impressive sites with one
particular site capable of washing over 600 cars per day, Ian was kind enough to
take the time out of his day and take us for a guided tour around their sites in
which we can’t thank Ian enough.
2011 Espresso Carwash Conference & Awards
Another very positive national conference this year focusing on innovative new products
and trends, customer loyalty programs and retention, Espresso Carwash expansion
plan and online computing resources, also reviewing the past years results and what
we want to achieve in the next 12 months. Overall another successful conference
and a good time had by all.
Of course the 6.3 magnitude earthquake certainly has tested our Christchurch franchisee’s
in the past 12 months by devastating the city and all franchisee’s have demonstrated
remarkable resilience and fortitude in the wake of the devastation.
This years franchisee awards & conference was held in Wellington, starting with
the awards, categories are from recognition of achievement, excellence in customer
service through to franchisee of the year, which is our premier award, and this
years recipient was Craig Freeman of the city location in Christchurch.
